Canine Supporters Charity donation

The Animal Cancer Trust was presented with a cheque for £6,000 from the Canine Supporters Charity on 12th September 2009 at the Richmond Championship Dog Show held near Guildford.  What a marvellous boost to our funds - thank you to the Board of the Canine Supporters Charity for recognising the Trust.  This is now the fourth year that the Animal Cancer Trust has been a beneficiary and we are truly delighted!  The monies received have been put to good use helping fund the training provided to groups such as veterinary nurses, groomers and even veterinary surgeons.

Three Peaks Walk

Gill Gray and her colleagues from Rowde Primary School successfully walked the Three Peaks in three days to raise money in memory of a dear friend.  The money was shared between the Animal Cancer Trust and a human cancer charity.  I am delighted to say that we have been the recipient of a cheque for £1,000.  A huge thank you to Gill and everyone involved.  Her dog, Travis, accompanied the walkers - I believe he slept a lot after the walk!

Thank you to our team in the office!

A big thank you to the workers in the office who keep everything ticking over from day to day.  Without their work the Trust would not be operating.  Here is a picture of Rhian who looks after the work of the Animal Cancer Trust answering telephone enquiries and emails as well as dealing with the correspondence.  Thank you Rhian!

Major sponsor & supporter of the Animal Cancer Trust!

Royal Canin continue to provide great support for the Animal Cancer Trust to help us reach our goal of fighting cancer in our pets.  In 2007 and 2008 they helped us produce our new leaflet and poster amongst other things.   In 2009 we are in the process of producing a new information leaflet which will be designed and printed by Royal Canin.  They have helped in so many other areas and are a delight to work with.

Royal Canin are the headline sponsors and closely involved with the nationwide dog walk, 'Take the Lead'.
